We've gotten takeout quite a few times from Fast Wok. It has always been tasty, though if you want the "spicy" dishes to have any heat, you need to request it. I like that they have pints of many dishes, rather than giant quart boxes, they label the containers so you don't have to guess what things are, and they have reasonable prices. My only complaint is the complaint I have about every Chinese restaurant -- too much oil used, too salty, and too much sauce. The veggies don't need to be drowning in sauce. I think that's just my bugaboo though. We recently ordered takeout for 15 and it was ready in 10 minutes, hot, and everyone gobbled it up like it was the best thing ever.

3 stars instead of 2 because the crab cheese were good. Service was ok and fast. I had chicken with broccoli. The sauce was bland. My favorite part is the rice soaked in all that chickeny goodness. Not this time. Ratio of chicken to water chestnuts was way off too. Every bite seemed to be mostly chestnut. If you want Chinese, on Plainfield, on a Monday, this was just ok.

Affordable and delicious, the service is FAST and friendly. My favorite is the Moo Goo Gai Pan, which is packed with flavor and has yummy sauce. The ambiance of the place is geared more towards takeout orders---there's plenty of seating if you decide to dine in and enjoy your meal.

I often need hearty Asian foods to comfort me and Fast Wok is a place I rely on to fix my cravings. I've had food at many Chinese restaurants ranging both high and low-end, friend's authentic home cooking, and even visited China to taste what "real" Chinese food was. Despite the interior, I can tell that the chefs put a lot of effort in to creating good food. All of the ingredients show signs of freshness including quality meat choices. This was the first restaurant that showed me how hot & sour soup is supposed to taste (must-try). I recommend the mongolian beef, combination fried rice, and general tso's chicken.

My family and I had dinner on Sunday Feb. 8th. 2015 All of our meals were absolutely delicious. I recommend a side dish of their plum sauce it is so "yummy". I ordered moo goo gai pan. The other meals were also delicious. And served hot. The egg rolls are very good. The portions are a meal for lunch the next day Our server was very attentive and friendly. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Cheap but not impressed. I don't have a favorite on the menu because I'm not wow-ed by anything at this restaurant. There are a plethora of other Chinese restaurants on the street to choose from, this place is not one of the top on my list. If you are don't like Chinese food, or want to stop liking Chinese food soon, eat here.

I don't have many restaurants saved on my phone but this one is a must! No one else does the Hot and Sour Soup justice but Fast Wok. Their food is so great and the price is just right. I have my usual - pint of hot and sour soup and a pint of veggie lo-mein. I absolutely love their lo-mein. yummy! However, if you are feeling like you need more food, their lunch menu or their combination platters are excellent and you get a lot of food. Their steamed dumplings are amazing as well. I always call my order in and its always ready in "10-15 minute pick up." The people who work there are so nice and sweet and always accommodating. I love my food hot and when I ask them to make it extra hot I get it just right. So next time you need Chinese, go to Fast Wok! You won't regret it! I have friends who don't live remotely close to Plainfield yet come up to satisfy their Chinese craving. Enjoy! Xie Xie Fast Wok!

Possibly the worst chinese food I have ever had. Not sure what they are doing with the rice but i didn't even eat it and throwing some peanuts into the sauce on top of chicken and veggies does not make Kung Pao Chicken.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
